The PIN code is a **4 to 6 digit** code that Monniz asks you for any sensitive operation: transfer, withdrawal, creation/recharge of a virtual card, modification of a beneficiary, password change, and activation or deactivation of 2FA.
You define it during your KYB onboarding. If you want to change it or if you forgot it, go to Settings → Security → PIN Code. Avoid overly simple codes like 1234, 0000, or 1111, Monniz automatically rejects them.
The PIN is stored securely and never in plain text. No one, not even the Monniz support team, can read it. In case of forgetfulness, you can reset it through identity verification (password + 2FA if active).
To prevent brute force attacks, several consecutive failed attempts temporarily lock operations protected by PIN. You will receive an alert email in case of blocking.
**Security tip**: never share your PIN code, even with a colleague. Each member of your team can set their own from their own account. Monniz will never ask you for your PIN over the phone, email, or WhatsApp.
