What documents to prepare for personal KYC

ID, selfie, proof of address, checklist by country.

Personal KYC verifies the identity of the **legal representative** of the business (you, generally). This is distinct from KYB, which verifies the business itself.

Accepted documents for ID: **national identity card** (CNI), **passport**, or **driver's license** that is valid, readable, and has a clear photo. The document must be valid at the time of submission.

**Selfie**: a clear photo of you holding the ID visibly. Avoid backlighting, weird angles, and filters. The goal is to confirm that it is indeed you on the ID.

**Proof of address** (sometimes requested): water/electricity bill less than 3 months old, or bank statement in your name, or signed lease. The address on the proof must match the one entered in your file.

The upload is done directly from your dashboard at the KYC step of onboarding. Accepted files are JPG, PNG, or PDF, up to 5 MB per document. Once uploaded, they are only visible to the support team, never internally outside of compliance.
